Thymosin Alpha-1 (Ta1) is a 28-amino acid peptide naturally produced by the thymus gland. It was first isolated and characterized by Allan Goldstein and colleagues in the 1970s and has since become one of the most extensively studied thymic peptides. Its primary research interest lies in immune modulation.
The published research on Thymosin Alpha-1 is substantial. Studies have explored its effects on T-cell maturation, dendritic cell function, and various immune response pathways.
